AIR AND THEIR IMPORTANCE IN THE ENVIRONMENT

AIR
It is a mixture of various gases circulating in the atmosphere.
 Gases that make up air
 i. Nitrogen 78%
 ii. Oxygen 20.9%
 iii. Carbon dioxide 0.03%
 iv. Agony 0.90%
 v. Other gas 0.17%
 CHARACTERISTICS OF AIR
 1. Air is invisible matter
 2. Air takes up space when placed in equipment (gas cylinders)
 3. Air exists in a gaseous state
 4. The air has no smell
 5. Air is colorless
 6. Air is heavy when it is filled in a special device
 THE IMPORTANCE OF AIR
 1. It supports the life of living organisms
 2. It is used to burn things
 3. It is used in pollination
 4. Air is used to generate electricity
 5. Air is used to dry things
 6. Air is used to transport sound waves
 7. Air helps things to rise and float
 8. Air is used to fill the tires of vehicles
 9. The air helps balance the Earth's temperature
 10. Air is the source of rain

 OXYGEN
It is a gas that contributes 20.9% in the air from plants, in short it is written
                  H2O+CO2 sunlight O2+Carbohydrates
                                    chlorophyll
This principle is called photosynthesis or photosynthesis.
 THE IMPORTANCE OF OXYGEN
 1. Helps in testing
 2. It is used by air travelers
 3. It is used in industry in welding
 4. It is used in hospitals to help patients breathe
 5. It is used in vehicles to burn fuel
 6. It is used in sewage transportation
 7. It is used to start a fire

 CARBON OXIDE
It is air that is produced by living organisms, it is also produced in large quantities from factories. Carbon dioxide is also called carbon dioxide air.

THE IMPORTANCE OF CARBON OXIDE AIR
 1. It is used in the synthesis of plant food
 2. It is used to freeze things in refrigerators
 3. It is used to put out fires
 4. It is used to make salt fertilizers
 5. It is used to bake bread
 6. It is used to make drinks such as soda

 EFFECTS OF CARBON OXIDE AIR
 1. Causes Global Warming
 2. Causes the sea level to rise
 3. Causes a change in the behavior of the country
 4. Causes fever (Kansas)
 NITROGEN GAS
It is a gas that contributes 78% to the air. This gas is produced in ecological activities, agriculture, breeding and garbage in cities.

 IMPORTANCE OF NITROGEN GAS
 1. It is used in the production of proteins in plants and animals
 2. It is used to make salt fertilizers such as DAP, NPK, CAN, Urea
 3. It is used to make nitric acid, various colors and nylon
 4. It is used in hospitals to store various things such as sperm and reproductive eggs, cells, nerves and blood
 5. It is used to store things at a specific temperature.
 AGONY
This is a greenhouse gas found in the air. Agon and other greenhouse gases make up 0.90% of the air. This gas is called greenhouse gas because it does not mix with other elements to form compounds.

 USAGE OF AGON GAS
1.Used in electric lamps and fluorescent tubes
 2. It is used in cutting and welding of steel in vehicles such as cars
